Robert
studied at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara and
later received his practical education living and working in New
York City and Paris, France.
During
those years Robert worked as a production assistant for television
and movies, and as a personal assistant for notable photographers,
including Mary Ellen Mark. While living in Paris, Robert began
shooting his own editorial assignments for magazines including
Korean Vogue. Robert moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1998
and continues to photograph commercially and privately.
He
began photographing weddings in 1992 for a relative, and over
the years has cultivated an immense enjoyment of celebrations.
“Weddings are full of mystery and suspense, with gifts for
all,” says Robert.
Robert's
primary goal with pictures is to capture beautiful moments. Robert
looks for images that can speak volumes, a balance of moments
between people, scenes, food, flowers, fabric, light and emotion-
all combine to tell the story of the day.
Robert
has received numerous accolades from clients and peers, and continuously
strives to expand upon the quality of his work.
